Not quite Chelsea Flower Show, but it’s a start
Spring has sprung in our new garden. It’s not quite Chelsea Flower Show, but at least there’s some form of life other than rampant brambles.
Already one of the architects has pulled out on the basis that they have just been offered a larger project. So we’re down to the ‘choice’ of one. We’ve been in touch with another practice but they think our budget is rather small. You wouldn’t think we’re in the middle of a recession…..
And here’s the new letterbox that’s replaced the Victorian one. It’s just temporary, I think we’ll get the orginal one reconditioned as it’s our only remaining period feature. But for the time being the gaudy new one will welcome all the takeaway leaflets, offers of escort services and cleaners (oh, if only a cleaner or escort were all we needed to sort the house out!).
So it’s to be another week of scouting around for an architect, and the vain hope we might find an enthusiastic one.
